minder zout, meer smaak
Salt is in many more products than we think and too much salt can have major consequences for our health. During this special afternoon on 23 September, we will show and taste that less salt really does not have to be less tasty.
The Kidney Foundation will explain how salt works in the body and the risks of a high salt intake. A nephrologist, a nutritionist and a baker who is a kidney patient himself will share their knowledge, experiences and practical tips. In addition, you can experience for yourself during a tasting session how tasty cooking with less salt can be. Nutrition partners will also be present with inspiration and products.
With:
- Pauline Ritmeester - regional manager ZO Netherlands of the Kidney Foundation - shares facts about salt in food and gives tips for a low-salt diet.
- Dr Willi van Kuijk - Internist-nephrologist VieCuri Medical Centre - talks about the impact of salt on your body and prevention and recognising signs.
- Patrick pijpers - Baker and co-owner Pijpers Brood en Banket - shares his experience on living with kidney disease and tips on how to cook and bake tastefully.
- Tasting - together, you will taste and experience low-salt products and get tips for healthy enjoyment at home.
All in all, a special afternoon focusing on togetherness, conviviality and nutrition, where you will not go home empty-handed. So if you are curious, have questions or want to learn something about salt or your kidneys, make sure you are there!
